“Firstly my wife and I would like to thank you for sending such a conscientious and skilful decorator in Vaughan. When he came to view the impending redecoration of our bedroom and heard the plans that my wife had in her head he looked at me and said “you like to give me a challenge don’t you!”

Having already painted dark blue joining a cream wall and white joining an orange wall in my cabin, we needed to see if he could in fact “up his game” and so we laid it on him. A jet black chimney breast opposite a jet black wall. Joining opposite bright white white walls. Then we added jet black skirting, he winced. Jet black door architrave, he grimaced. The final addition, jet black coving on to a bright white ceiling – “are you kidding?”, he says. Oh yeah, also can you fit this fire surround to that smashed up fireplace that 5 years ago I took a sledge hammer to and then left?

On Friday when Vaughan left the end result was and is stunning, striking and quite honestly the best example of skilled decorating I have ever seen. My wife is over the moon (which means I have kept the “happy wife, happy life” motto I live by and earned mega brownie points).

Vaughan, quite honestly your work on this is brilliant, faultless and you are such a low maintenance worker (could do with some singing lessons) and a pleasure to have in our home.
